Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

A.P.O.L.O. ("APOLO," "we," "us") is a small independent business that provides physical QR code memorial medallions and hosted memorial webpages. We take your privacy seriously and will never sell or misuse your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our service:

  • Order information — your name, shipping address, and email address when you place an order
  • Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
  • Memorial content — photos, text, audio, and other media you upload to your memorial page
  • Guestbook entries — names left by visitors who sign a memorial guestbook
  • Basic usage data — candle lightings and page visits, used only to display counts on the memorial page

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To fulfill your order and ship your QR code medallion
  • To send you your private memorial edit link via email
  • To host and display your memorial page
  • To contact you regarding your order, replacements, or support requests

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing lists, or any purpose beyond fulfilling your order and supporting your memorial.

4. We Will Never Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes — ever. Your family's memories and your personal details are not a product. Full stop.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase — secure database and file storage for memorial content
  • Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's own privacy policy)
  • Vercel — website hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and security standards. We chose them specifically for their reliability and security.

6. Memorial Page Visibility

Memorial pages are accessible to anyone who has the page URL. The URL contains a unique identifier but is not listed publicly or indexed by search engines. Only people you share the link with — or who scan the physical QR code — will ever find the page. Your edit link is separate and contains an additional secret key that only you hold.

7. Data Retention

Your memorial page and all its content is stored indefinitely as part of our lifetime hosting commitment. If you ever wish to delete your memorial page and all associated data, contact us and we will permanently remove it within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

APOLO does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our service is intended for adults purchasing memorials for deceased loved ones.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct any inaccuracies, or to request deletion of your data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the APOLO website.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will always post the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact

Questions about your privacy or this policy? Contact us through the APOLO website and we will respond as quickly as possible.
